Kristin has hope once again..

I just went on a match.com date with the MOST ADORABLE BRITISH GUY!!!! He's totally cute, totally sweet, paid for everything, we talked for hours and hours and didn't even realize what time it was. Did I mention that he's British so he has the most ADORABLE accent? Seriously, on most first dates I end up doing the majority of the talking, but he was so interesting (and so interesting to listen to!) that I mostly just listened and let him do the talking. It was great. We totally lost track of time--we looked at the time and it was like, woah, it's 11:30 already?!? I'm so filled with hope. The best part is, he's very passionate about what he does, which is, no joke, SAVING PEOPLE'S LIVES. He's a scientist, and his last job was as a bone marrow scientist, so he would take bone marrow from parents who's kids didn't have a donor match and re-engineer it so that the transplant would be accepted. Literally saving people's lives on a daily basis. Right now he's working on a treatment for cancer that is basically a re-engineered virus that attacks and kills only cancerous cells. The wave of the future in cancer treatments. No chemo necessary! And the side effects are the same as any other virus, slight fever, aches and pains, nothing major. Nothing like chemo or radiation. What a cool guy! That's such an awesome way to contribute to the world. It makes me feel almost inadequate beside him, my silly dreams of contributing through theatre (though that's my passion, so what can I do). He's total potential. And I would live in London, no problem, if things worked out... ;)

The end of the date was so cute, he was like, "so can I call or text you sometime?" and I was like "please do, I had such a great time" and he's British, so a bit reserved, so I had to give him a hug. Awhhh. What a sweetie. I'm excited about this one!

The rotation begins....

oh anonymous, what the fuck does that matter?

kristin, this one sounds really promising! i'm already voting for the brit hard core over mac b.

don't feel silly or inadequate for being an actor - throughout history theatre has played a huge part in the development and change of any society. it is important, it does affect people's lives. the scientists are important, but so are the artists...its just hard to remember that these days when art is not even given the back seat, but given the bucket seat.
